The Land of upright People

That's the meaning of the name "Burkina Faso". And all the people I met there were really proud to be burkinabe. And in front of the camera, they didn't play anything, but expressed soemthing very strong and upright, especially the kids. I'd like to thank all these people for their kindness, hospitality and for the portraits I could shoot of them.

Brilliant portraits! You let their natural strengths transfer to film like I haven't seen done in a long time. I tip my hat to you, sir.

thanks a lot for this great compliment @neanderthalis! I already had a great experience 5 years ago in Burkina Faso, and shot some Holga portraits that I liked a lot, so this year I had the intention to shoot a lot of portraits with Rolleiflex and hoped to get something very emotional… and I'm very satisfied by the results. Of course, there are still some other albums to come… :)
