Happy Accidents Rumble: Developing at my local Lab // Accidentes que te alegran el día: Revelando en mi Laboratorio local
38 20Last Summer I was travelling with my girlfriend around Spain. We were in Alicante (at the east coast) in Euskadi, (at the north, visiting Bilbao and Vitoria) and in Ceuta, my family’s town (at the north of Africa, just in front of Gibraltar).
I charged my Diana Mini with Kodak Ektachrome E100G and I was shooting with it in Euskadi and Ceuta. When I finished the film I had a doubt… Where should I develop it? I thought that maybe the best idea would be waiting for developing it at de Lomography Shop. But I couldn’t wait, so I went to my local lab in Ceuta asking for the cross process. And for my surprise they knew what the cross process was! So I entrusted them my first E100G film.
But when I went to collect my pictures I didn’t find what I was expecting (pictures like this or this), but the results were very original and creative, with washed colours, green tones and a little bit of vintage effect. Now I love these pictures:
El pasado verano estuve viajando con mi novia por toda la geografía nacional. estuvimos en Alicante, País Vasco (visitando Bilbao y Vitoria) y en Ceuta, la ciudad de mi familia.
En todo momento llevé mi Diana Mini cargada con Kodak Ektachrome E100G y estuve disparando con esta película en Euskadi y Ceuta, con evidentes diferencias de luz. Cuando terminé el carrete me surgió una duda, ¿y ahora dónde lo revelo? Pensé que lo más lógico sería esperar a volver a Madrid y revelarlo en la tienda lomo. Pero no podía esperar, así que me acerqué a mi laboratorio ceutí y pregunté si sabían lo que era un proceso cruzado. Para mi sorpresa la chica que me atendió sabía de lo que le hablaba, así que les confié mi primer E100G film.
Pero cuando fui a recoger mis fotos no encontré lo que me esperaba (fotos como ésta o ésta), sin embargo los resultados fueron sorprendentemente originales, con colores lavados, tonos verdosos y un poco de efecto vintage… Ahora me encantan estas fotos.
