Worldwide Camera Sharing Project!

Hello Lomo Friends,

I am super excited to announce the start of my first Lomo group project! I am calling it The Worldwide Camera Sharing Project. I am sending one of my favorite turdcams (Keystone 470PM Message Camera) on a yearlong journey around the world!

This is a very special little camera. It has 12 cool messages to choose from but it can also be shot with no message at all. And the photos have a very distinct “lomo” look :-)

I wanted to share this unique camera with other lomographers around the world. So after thinking it over for a couple of weeks this is what I came up with. p. Rather than try to dictate who gets the camera and where it goes for a year. I chose to send the camera to one friend, (the very awesome and talented troch) and let them choose who they want to send it to. And so on, and so on, for a year. Then the camera will be sent back to me.

***Update: I have extended the deadline for this project indefinitely! In an effort to share this camera and experience with as many people as possible. I would like the camera to be sent back only when it is broken or no longer usable.

All I ask is that the person it goes to should be an active member of lomography.com, so we can all keep track of the progress throughout the year and see the great photos that are sure to come from this exciting project. I have also requested that all photos taken with this camera for this project be tagged with WWCSP to make them easy to find. p. I hope everyone who wants to participate in this project gets a chance to enjoy this wonderful camera. And I look forward to seeing a year of photos through the eye of a traveling camera. p. On a totally seperate note…. while I have your attention. I don’t usually preach or try to influence people to do anything other than “be yourself”. But a good friend of mine lost his girlfriend in a tragic car accident last night. And I just wanted to remind everyone that life is very precious. I urge you to be more careful, cautious and alert when driving. And please, never drive drunk. Thank You, David Huff

I just wanted to report that the Message camera is currently enroute to Italy and the awaiting mailbox of @marant69. I wish I could send it to everyone, but it is only one camera and it still has 11 months to go on its journey so keep your fingers crossed. I will get my photos posted on Feb 24.

Update: Today 21 March, first day of spring (one month of journey!), the Message Camera arrived in my hands. Time to make one roll of shots and then i'll send the camera, there's someone here interested? Drop me a line!! You have only a few days!!
