Lomography

It has definitely been a Lomo-year!! :)

2011 has been a terrible year for me, probably the worst ever, in many ways. I got bad news until the very last day of 2011 and, just for the symbolism, a friend even dropped a glass full of red wine on me, in its very last minutes!

But here is one aspect of my life in that 2011 has probably been the best year so far: Lomography, of course!

I’m in this community around 10 years now, and I never really made the change for digital. When it become very popular and affordable, I was already into Lomography.

But I’ve never been so hooked, so addicted! In 2011, there was only one thing in my head, from the first minute of the day and even in my sleep – Lomography. My best picture of 2011 was one that I imagined while falling asleep. It did come out really nice!

Maybe because it was a rough year, I have been so active in Lomography. And it did pay off!

My picture in Rio de Janeiro’s Museum of Modern Art, really?! An LC-A+ and Krab for me?! Given?! And this Spinner picture in the window of Lomography Embassy in Lisbon?!

My pictures in Peru (loooove Peru), Poland, Ukraine, Chile (I would love to go there!)…?? Come on, a girl like me that never took her photography seriously?! One of my pictures was even used in a designer website! Is the world crazy??

I have said this, but I’ll say it again, from the very bottom of my heart: Thank you Lomography Community! Really, you have no idea how important you all have been this year! :*
