Cycling trough Germany, we came across an intriguing sign: Altes Shiffhebewerk (Old Boat Lift). A boat lift? We made the detour to Waltrop, and were surprised by this magnificent giant machine.

Fietsend naar mijn werk zag ik her en der nieuwe kunst opduiken. Een snelle check op internet bevestigde mijn vermoedens: ArtZuid komt er weer aan! Deze tweejaarlijkse sculptuurroute in Amsterdam Zuid staat altijd garant voor mooie plaatjes.

Amersfoort heeft een weinig sexy imago. Toch valt er heus wel wat te beleven: een oude binnenstad, bioscopen, cafés en de rommelmarkten bijvoorbeeld. de Keistad heeft genoeg te bieden!

EBS (exposing both sides) is fun, but a bit of a hassle. Forget that hassle, and make a two faced camera out of some cheap cameras. But don't make the mistakes I made.

Though its low price and toy-like appearance make this a really accessible camera, it does take a bit of practice and a few pointers to actually get great results. Often, my pictures are merely meh, but when they are good, they are REALLY good.

By night, I am a lomographer, working my magic with Velvia, Provia, Ektachrome and other exotic tools. Snapping away with Holgas, Horizons, Spinners and pinholes. By day, I sit behind a computer. Let me show you the not-so-glamorous world of non-fiction publishing.

To be honest, I never had much faith in the LomoKino. I didn't really care for the films I saw, and thought it wouldn't be my thing at all. Still, I decided to give it a chance. I must admit, I'm slowly coming around.

Op 28 april is het alweer World Pinhole Photography Day. Hier zijn vijf makkelijk uit te voeren ideeën voor een te gek pinhole resultaat.

Ermelo heeft veel kwaliteiten: een fraaie omgeving, een gezellige winkelstraat, een treinstation... Leuk, maar niet echt bijzonder. Ermelo steekt echter in één opzicht met kop en schouders boven vergelijkbare plaatsen uit: bierhandel en brouwerij Burg.

When I moved to my present home town of Amersfoort, I was relieved to find a place that caters to my second favorite analogue pleasure: music. I can get my fix in the excellent record store de Nootzaak.

Met twee maskers aan de binnenkant van de Janus-camera krijg je een duidelijke afscheiding tussen je pinhole en je gewone foto.

Per toeval kwam ik in het bezit van wat verlopen HEMA zwart-wit film. Ik had mijn twijfels of het nog wat zou zijn, maar de film verraste me met zijn fijne lo-fi vintage look.

Toegegeven, meestal ga ik voor een concert naar Utrecht of Amsterdam. Toch valt er ook in Amersfoort best wat te beleven op muzikaal gebied, in popzaal De Kelder.
