  • Tiga Mojang "the rest of the pile" 🗿🗿🗿

    compartido por hervinsyah en 2011-10-24

This is "the rest of the pile" sculpture of Indonesian famous sculpture artist, Nyoman Nuarta, which named Tiga (tiga (Indonesia) = three (English) ; Mojang (Sundanese word for GIRL). Tiga Mojang was build at one of real estate in Bekasi, Jawa Barat (West Java), Indonesia https://www.google.co.id/search?q=patung+tiga+mojang&biw=1024&bih=489&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&sqi=2&ved=0ahUKEwjjw5GcppnMAhWIGJQKHa1DAZ8Q_AUIBigB But protested by local organization who thought that the sculpture is too vulgar/porn and also not suitable with local culture, because they think Bekasi which part of West Java, the province which dominated by Sundanese, is not belong to Sundanese tradition but more close with Betawinese culture. So they broke the sculpture and there's nothing policeman can do. Nyoman Nuarta, Balinese who also made some famous sculpture such as Garuda Wisnu Kencana in his hometown in Bali, removed his rest of the pile Tiga Mojang sculpture to his almamater, ITB (Institut Teknologi Bandung or Bandung Institute of Technology) when they held Pasar Seni (Art Market) 10.10.10 or October 10th, 2010. My personal opinion, this is his genius protest to so called "defender of the universe gank" who use violence, without using violence back.

Double the Pleasure: An Introduction to Multiple Exposures

A lot of people love the surrealness from superimposed photographs but find the technique too difficult to become a multiple exposures master. Let's go back to basics as we talk about how multiple exposures work and what you can look for.

The Meopta Stereo 35 aka The View-Master Camera

In my junior year of college, I had a crazy idea for a project for my directed study class. I wanted to create my own view-master reels, and to my surprise a view-master camera not only existed, but was available for purchase. Everything about this camera was a difficult trial and error challenge, but the end results are a one of a kind gem.

PinHolo - The story of how I made a Pine-Nut Pinhole Camera!

When I was a student at the Fine Arts Academy in Perugia, I fell in love with stenopeic photography and started gathering every kind of document I could about it and its technical evolution. I asked for some information from my photography teacher, Antonio Todini - He suggested that I search "Pinhole Photography" on the internet and as a way of remembering things said: “Pinhole, it sounds like pinolo (pine nut, in Italian), but with the 'H' after the 'N' and the final 'E'”. Since that moment the little nut planted itself in my mind and grew in the form of a challenge to make my very own pine nut pinhole camera!
