How long have you been a Lomographer?
Brendon Stuart: Just over a year or so

Describe the LOMO LC-A+ in five words.
BS: Versatile, Clever, Handy, Perfect, Chinese?

The strangest, funniest, or hands-down greatest photographic/Lomographic encounter that you have ever had.
BS: I can’t think of any one in particular, but I have them from time to time. I like taking photos at night and sometimes when I’m out and about I’ll see something cool and snap a shot of it, but I have to stay still to keep a steady shot. Sometimes people will pass confused as to why I’m frozen in place. I had someone stop to ask what I was doing once. Long uncomfortable silence between question and answer because the shutter was open for around 30 seconds.

BS: Ursa Minor, Ursa Major- Tarentel, Saint Behind The Glass- Los Lobos and Anytown Graffitti- Pela.

Digital or Analog? Why?
BS: Analog to the dome foo!!! Warmth like no series of numbers can recreate. Film has a life of its own that digital seems to just record for cold accuracy. I see where things are going between digital and film and with that, Im gonna keep going with film as long as film is going. I wont deny the convenience of digital to do a lot of the same stuff, often just as good and quicker, but film will always be where my heart is.

If you could be anywhere, doing anything, right now – where would it be and what would you do?
BS: I’d want to be somewhere in another country I’ve never been to before (which actually leaves a lot seeing as I still haven’t been out of the States yet) with just a couple trusty cameras and a lot of film. Just shooting.

The absolute best restaurant in your town – something authentic, delicious, and not too pricey. Name & address please.
BS: Honestly I’m pretty partial to Mexican food, and I really miss the really awesome taquerias in San Francisco. NY can be sparse on that type of good. But there’s a little place with a counter top and tacos that are pretty awesome. Its called La Esquina on Kenmare and Lafayette St. Get the grilled corn or string beans!

Things about the LC-A+ that you love & adore.
BS: How small and well designed it is and always has been. Its always there for everything. The new little clever lever on the bottom is brilliant. It’s also nice to easily be reminded of what film I’m using in there. In low light, after the 1st click of a long exposure, I love the fact that you don’t know how long you’re gonna have to hold your breath for before the second click.

Your advice to future LC-A+ Lomographers.
BS: This little black beauty is pretty awesome. Its amazing how many different types of photos you can get back from it and at the same time they’ll still have this look that doesn’t come from any other camera. Cross process with slide film. Take more chances!!!
