Tell us about yourself. What do you do for a living? What are your interests?

I live in Barcelona and I am an architect which means I am lucky enough to indulge in one of my passions on a professional level daily. I am especially interested in creativity and creation itself and I truly admire anyone who attempts to create new realities – it’s something that we all do, one way or another – whether we recognise it or not.

And of course, my other passion, are my wife and my two children.

How long have you been a Lomographer and how did you find out about the Community?

The first analogue camera I had was a Holga 120S back in 2003 ’til 2004. It’s what I see as my initiation into Lomography although it wasn’t ’til 2009 that I actually started to use it on a regular basis. I got into the Community through a sort of knock-on effect after taking interest in Flickr. One thing led to another then I began shooting with film again in 2009 and picked up an old Lomography account that I had already opened.

What are your plans for the holidays?

Family, friends, shots (with cameras not guns!) and relaxing – not that all are entirely compatible!

Any New Year’s resolutions for 2013?

Mmmmmmm… I’d like to give up hearing the cursed words Premium Risk, Crisis and Banks!

 
If you could recommend one movie and one song to everyone, what would they be?

Recommending only one song or film is difficult…

Saying that, the film is easy: Toy Story as I have two sons, aged 1 and 5 years old. I’ve watched this film a lot lately and it’s good. Seriously!

As for the song, this year I would recommend I Want the World to Stop by Belle and Sebastian

But I can not give a special mention to Summertime Rolls by Jane’s Addiction. Yet another passion of mine.

What’s your favourite analogue camera to shoot with? Why?

Currently, I’m really most at home with the LC-A+, I don’t leave without it. I like it’s simplicity; just point, focus and shoot. Add in the double exposures and the Splitzer and you’ve got the perfect camera to be out with. It is, however, difficult to choose only one given that over the last two years my collection has been growing non-stop.

What’s the next camera you’d like to get your hands on?

A month ago I would have said without doubt the Horizon Perfekt. I really fancy having a go with this panoramic camera. These days, however, I’m often dreaming about the Bronica SQ-A medium format 6×6.

What’s your favourite memory from this year?

This year my best memories revolve around growth; my personal growth, the growth of my sons Leo and Max, and the growth of a school which is being built by my office. So, despite the aforementioned cursed words, it’s been a good year.
 
And now for the toughest question – What’s been your favorite photo from the past year? Why?

That is difficult. Only one? In which case, I choose this one:

I love its saturated colours and the contrast between the figure and the background, and the fact that the result was such a delight. When I took the photo I was in fact looking for this finish but that didn’t take away from the mix of surprise and pleasure when I got it back from the developers.

Any holiday shout-outs or tips for your fellow Lomographers?

It’s not a tip as such but in the winter, in bright, snowy landscapes, a Fisheye loaded with Agfa CT Precisa ISO 100 gives spectacular results.
