Very interesting but needs to have f4 or f5.6 lens and 1/500 shutter speed to really make me want one.

@kneehigh85 i think your cache is storing the pre-belair version of the shop - that's certainly what my laptop at home did! Try this link, which will reload the page from scratch rather than cache http://uk.shop.lomog(…)r_cache=yes

I think, it could/would be an absolutely fantastic camera IF it would be a rangefinder. Zone focus on a 90 mm lens ? That's pretty tough and will just work at bright daylight and apertures like 8 or 16.
At f:4 and 2 m ( a typical distance for taking pictures of people ), the depth of field will already be so shallow, that the focus will be just 12 cm in front the person/object and 14 cm behind. At 1.5 m, these are just just 7cm in front and 8 cm behind. I want to see the person, who can guess distances that precisely.

I worked a lot with many different folder cameras and also wrote an article about it a while ago: http://www.lomograph(…)-the-pocket To say it clear: The Belair X 6-12 would definitely find a place under my christmas tree too, because the concept is genius BUT it needs a rangefinder ( in the worst case an external one ) to be usable ... and this is not a really new knowledge. People in the 40s and 50s, when those type of cameras have been common and popular, used at least something like a "Watameter" ( external rangefinder ): http://camerapedia.w(…)i/Watameter or http://camerapedia.w(…)er_(device) Definiely a MUST item. I would say, it's impossible to use a camera like the Belair without it.

The demo photos don't seem to have any of those focusing issues. It seems that excluding close-ups, the 'zones' are quite a few feet. ---just looked up the specs and it says the zones are 1m, 1.5m, 3m and infinity
