   ahhhh so many epic win points to you right now :D I love Astrid Lindgren! and her movies. but yes this is classical Sweden. this colour is called "Falu Röd" (Falu Red).... and basically every summer cottage in Sweden is painted in this colour, ALWAYS with the white edges... houses out in the country or suburbs are usually also in this colour.. it's 90% Falu Röd for summer cottages, and sometimes yellow....

   this is my friends summer cottage :)
