Lomography Awards: Monocromático: Contrasts

1.923 Entradas al concurso · Acabadas ·

Explore the concept of "contrast" in your black and white photographs.

In black and white photography, contrast refers to the difference between the brightest and darkest areas of an image. It is an important visual element that can add depth and texture to your monochromatic shot. For this challenge, we're looking for photographs that expound on the meaning of "contrast". Here are some ideas to get you started:

  • Ambient Light*: Contrast is all about balancing light and shadows. Pay attention to how available lighting shapes a scene.
  • Opposites Attract: Instead of focusing on tonal contrast, turn your lens to subjects that are opposites of one another and capture them in a single photo.

Each participant may submit up to 10 black and white photographs. This competition serves as the qualifying round for the Monochrome category of our TEN AND ONE Annual Lomography Photo Awards 2019.
