Emé & Melón (Congo #1)

On my trip to Kinshasa I knew I would do less photography, because street photography is not favourable with the locals and everywhere are policmen. But I got lucky with a few moments. When I was waiting and taking shots of my friend Mega in a back alley one thing came to the other. I was asked if I can make portraits of Emé, who was hard working on the street. This beautiful lady sorts and repackages coal in various sizes, sitting in a big pile of black stones. Melón lived nearby and I was shooting her at her door. I got lucky with these great ladies.
