Preparing the lawn near the Triumphal Gate for winter (Kodak «Target» 200, expired April 1994)

Triumphal arch. It is created by the architect O. Bowe in 1826-1828 in honor of a victory of the Russian weapon in Patriotic war of 1812 and it is established in 1834 at the Tver outpost - the present area of the Belarusian station.
In 1936, during the renovation of the square arch was dismantled.
In more than 30 years it was restored, reproduced sculptural decoration on the details of the surviving cast colonnade of 12 new cast-iron columns. On November 6, 1968 the Triumphal arch was solemnly open on Kutuzovsky Avenue.
