Monument to Alexander I in the Alexander Garden

November 20, 2014, in Moscow's Alexander Garden (near Borovitsky gate) was opened a new monument. It is a monument to Emperor Alexander I, whose name is Alexander Garden and because this garden was laid out on the orders of the Emperor.

The monument is a sculpture of Alexander I in dress uniform standing on a pedestal. In the hands of the emperor holds the sword beneath his feet lies the enemy weapons on the shoulders of a cloak thrown over. Opposite the monument installed bas-relief depicting the Battle of Borodino and other battles, as well as Alexander himself, Seraphim of Sarov, and two churches - the Cathedral of Christ the Saviour and the Kazan Cathedral.
