«The Old City» (Mosfilm)

Old Moscow - St. Petersburg.
Decoration «Old Moscow» was built in 2003 specifically for the filming of the film «The Rider named Death» directed by Karen Shakhnazarov. Over a hundred paintings were shot on the open air, among them such famous ones as «Gentlemen of the Officers», «Poor Nastya», «State Councilor», «Death of the Empire», «Dead Souls», «Doctor Zhivago», «Model», «Vivat, Anna Ioannovna», «Institute of Noble Maidens», «White Tiger».
In 2015, for the filming of the film «Anna Karenina», the decoration was partially rebuilt and restored, and on its streets majestic and picturesque buildings of the unique architecture of St. Petersburg were erected.
