    compartido por bloomchen en 2012-10-01

inspired by a photoshoped picture i saw on tumblr i thought i could probably do this in an analogue way. my first try but it didn´t turn out the way the other pic was - but hey, this is analogue not photoshop. anyway i really like the ghost shot a lot. many thanks to a guy named flo (and his girlfriend) who passed by at the puddle and helped me taking this double.

I don´t know wether the film has sufferd heat or something else but in the end I was quite disappointed while scanning those negatives. But istn´t it always a "Russian Roulette" how the negatives of an expired film will turn out after having them developed!?

  • Eid-ul-Fitr

    compartido por analogmonolog en 2011-09-03

Eid ul-Fitr, Eid al-Fitr, Id-ul-Fitr, or Id al-Fitr (Arabic: ‎عيد الفطر ‘Īdu l-Fiṭr), often abbreviated to Eid, is a Muslim holiday that marks the end of Ramadan, the Islamic holy month of fasting (sawm). Eid is an Arabic word meaning "festivity," while Fiṭr means "breaking the fast". The holiday celebrates the conclusion of the 29 or 30 days of dawn-to-sunset fasting during the entire month of Ramadan. The first day of Eid, therefore, falls on the first day of the month Shawwal. Eid-ul-Fitr has a particular salah (Islamic prayer) consisting of two raka'ah (units) and generally offered in an open field or large hall called an Eed-gah.[1] It may only be performed in congregation (Jama’at) and has an additional extra six Takbirs (raising of the hands to the ears while saying Allah-u-Akbar [God is Great]), three of them in the beginning of the first raka'ah and three of them just before ruku' in the second raka'ah in the Hanafi school.[2] This Eid ul-Fitr salah is, depending on which juristic opinion is followed, Fard (obligatory), Mustahabb (strongly recommended, just short of obligatory) or mandoob (preferable).[1] Muslims are commanded by God in the Qur'an to complete their fast until the last day of Ramadan[3] and pay the Zakat al-fitr before doing the Eid prayer.

The last days of 2012 on Kodak BW 400 CN ... this film is really awesome! I love the contrast and it's very easy to scan. That you can develop it in c41 is the icing on the cake as my lab does no bw-development.

  • Both sides of the daily life

    compartido por hodachrome en 2012-06-27

Exposing both sides of the film (EBS). I shot on correct(normal) side first in a sunny/bright day, at ISO400(ISO800 film inside). Below half of the lense was masked with a splitzer. After finished a roll, reverse the film (in a dark-room). Then start shooting on redscale side in a cloudy/rainy day, at ISO200. Upper half was masked with a splitzer. The order of each location is precisely the same as 1st shots. I took notes in details about locations and shot all places with iPhone, to remember locations. Need patience, concentration, and accuracy for this challenge. Plus must be careful with 'gaps' between frames. Have a look at my article about this technique: http://www.lomography.com/magazine/tipster/2013/01/14/tipster-how-to-take-symmetrical-images-with-exposing-both-sides-of-the-film-ebs

Of course one isn’t enough! Or two… Or three… Or even four! Gah, the greatness multiple exposure is! Sure is a delight! (P.O.T.D. 06.12.13) @diana3009 http://www.lomography.com/homes/diana3009
