The tulip is one of Istanbul's traditional symbols. Brought to the city from Iran centuries ago, it was favored and cultivated here until tulip-love became a mania. Tulips made their way from Istanbul to Europe—specifically Holland—where a similar tulip mania soon consumed the imaginations—and bank accounts—of Dutch tulip-lovers.
My first experience with a Washi "S" roll. Very strong contrasts, but I like the result. I used my Nikon FE, with a 28mm lens, and we spent our day in Gion, and then we get to Shogunzuka, where you can have a breathtaking view on Kyoto. It was August 3rd, the birthday of my daughter @lomomargot.
Great time spent on Mount Hieizan (比叡山), where you can find the Enryaku-ji temple (延暦寺), which is one of the most important monasteries in Japanese history and Buddhism. It was absolutely not crowded, and I guess we're the only european tourists on place. This temple complex is so calm, and invites you to meditate and reflect.

Varigotti, in una splendida giornata di metà Dicembre... sembrava quasi primavera, c'erano quasi 20 gradi... che bello liberarsi di scarpe e calzini e passare qualche ora passeggiando a piedi nudi su questa splendida spiaggia ligure, con alle spalle le case di un borgo in stile moresco unico nel suo genere in tutta la regione!
Terzo album dedicato alla splendida cittadina ligure di Varigotti. Peccato che a Luglio l'eccessiva presenza di ombrelloni e stabilimenti balneari rovini lo splendido panorama delle case moresche costruite direttamente sulla spiaggia. Quando in Italia le spiagge saranno lasciate libere, come nel resto del mondo? Quando i privilegi degli ombrellonai (venduti a peso d'oro pagando concessioni ridicole) verranno adeguati alle normative europee?
