The first sunny day of the year. The day I put the first roll of slidefilm in my Diana ever. The day my grandmother died.
The sunrays on my face woke me that morning and all I could think was 'grandma would call this a perfect day'. When I came downstairs my father told me she had passed on that night.
I ran out of the house and cycled to this pond nearby. Taking pictures always calms me down.
This picture is for my grandmother. Who has always loved nature in any way.
My eyeballs just cannot get enough Redscale XR film especially when shot at low ISO. These were mostly from Florence and Northampton as well as Shelburne Falls. This older LC-A seems to be permanently loaded with Redscale XR. :)
I had a crazy project in mind... let me stress it again: a CRAZY project! I contacted as many Lomographers in London as I could and I went to meet them and take their pictures with one (or more) of my analogue cameras. The idea? Photographing the photographers and introducing the people behind the lens to the Community - as well as having a privileged pick on their personal styles. :) I will have to say (again) a big THANK you to giorgious and julietalucca - the stars of this third album of the series. One more to come! :)
after my first try with a mask on my diana and the satisfying results i now masked my lubitel.. tried to shoot redscale at iso 25. the sun was not very strong so they turned out more red than i expected, but i like them. think the color fits the mask ..scared i´m becoming addicted to masks..
in Berlin Neuköln | Very expired (1981!!!!) and home developed x-pro film. This film bring back the 70s and 80s. Absolutly autentic vintage look and feel. I love it.
this is a photo from my alien mask series. I was with my girlfriend on the bike touring around the Groninger landscape there were a lot of yelow flower fields on our way but most of them we could not come close until we. accidentally ignored a no trespassing sign we jumped of our bikes I quikly put my alien masker on told my girlfriend how I wanted the picture and she pushed the button of my camera. The farmer who's field it was drove by and smiled from ear to ear.
We spent spring break in New York City and saw all the touristy sites. I shot this roll with Lomo X Tungsten film and got colors I've never seen before. I love this film but wasn't wild about these colors. I think they are starting to grow on me though. I'm wondering if I over exposed this or if all the x-ray scanners at every attraction had something to do with the strange color shift.
These were taking during my mum's visit to Shanghai. Really had a great time walking and talking with her and of course taking a few shots with her. =)
Some additional photos of New York City I took on spring break. I love the dramatic black and white Rollei Retro gives. It really seemed like the right feel for the 9/11 memorial.

The Japanese vessel, the Eihatsu Maru, ran aground at 05:15 on Saturday, 13th of May, in thick fog.
We, obviously, decided to go and photograph it.
on 18/05/2012 the 50m Japanese fishing vessel that ran aground off First Beach in Clifton has been removed.
