It took me quite a while to understand what really is the appeal of Shibuya? The first time I set foot on that place, all I could do was humming Jim Croce’s “New York’s Not My Home” inside my mind; “…though all the streets are crowded, there’s something strange about it.” But after a while, I started to see what my camera sees. The little corners that once was drowned in the sea of people started to appear. The speck of light on the building across, the tiny magazine stand, the signs above my head dancing together with the traffic lights. Everything was like… magic.
More of the Rollei RPX 100 souped in some goofed HC110 Dilution H (15.5ml of syrup to make 32oz) for 16 minutes. A few of these could have been metered better, but, overall, I am quite pleased with the outcome. I do like this film/dev combo....happy accident.
Apnea //Sono nato in un’isola. Questa “dannata circostanza dell’acqua ovunque” mi appartiene come il respiro, come il mio modo di guardare il mondo o più semplicemente come danzo. Da tutti gli elementi naturali è l’acqua , dal mio punto di vista, quella che trovo più collegata all’estate e a tutte le emozioni che con sé porta. Un filtro che ridimensiona ogni gesto, donando poesia liquida all’universo che rimane incastrato in ogni scatto. Ed è lì, in questa nuova anatomia , che nasce questa Oda all’estate mischiando sensualità e sogno, rabbia e paesaggio, silenzio in apnea e musica interiore senza un confine ben delimitato .
