I shot these dramatic landscape pictures around mid-day using 'Redscale' film, which I made myself by re-winding regular 35mm colour negative film into an empty canister, but reversed. I think this works basically like shooting through a red/orange filter, because instead of the light hitting the emultion on the front of the film, as it normally would, the light has to pass through the (usually) amber base of the film before it gets to the emultion.
