Venice 1985

May 5, 1985. it was Sunday and I was in Venice for a day. the same day the Prince of Wales and his wife, universally known as Lady D came with their royal yacht (the Britannia) and parked in front of San Marco square. Many people spend the whole day in front of the yacht, hoping to be able to see them. I have not seen them but I've seen get their children, who responded to the greetings of the people with a tongue! a strange day

Oh, you're welcome. I feel this really captures the true feeling of Venice, we were told many negative stories of Venice but when we stepped off the platform I exclaimed "how could anyone not love this place!?"

@pangmark wow! that's a great compliment! while living in Italy I was in Venice just a couple of times and each time only for a few hours, you're right, how could anyone not fall in love whit this place? unless one is a pigeon-phobic :))
