Various ways of avoiding visual contact with the outside world using silver duct tape

a few weeks ago i saw drawings of the belgian painter and filmmaker Michaël Borremans named "various ways of avoiding visual contact with the outside world using yellow isolating tape" (25.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_l0muw5ylm01qzz9uzo1_500.jpg). i thought immediately i have to do this in photos. i liked the drawings and loved the title - coolest title ever i think (before it was "who's afraid of red, yellow and blue?"). i replaced the yellow isolating tape with silver duct tape and tried to adapt it. unfortunately it was pretty difficult to do as you may imagine that tape in the hair and on the eyebrows does not lead to enthusiastic exclamations like "hooray!" or "hell yes, paste me! i love the feeling of tape on my skin." a few words on the results: i like 2 of these shots pretty much. the others could have been better in matter of really copying the way the tape is pasted but i understand that it´s not nice to have tape removed and fixed and removed and fixed again until it´s really the way it is on the drawing.

Wonderful! Do you remember your settings when exposing this one?

@naxoman77 not really. but as it was on my balcony in the backyard and the ISO is slow i guess it must have been something like f/3.5 and 1/60 or so. but i am not really sure. all i know is i did not use a tripod and the light on my balcony is bad. so i tend to maximum exposure time you cald hold steady (1/60 and apperture that fits to exposure time (f/3.5, f/4.0, f/5.6)
