Helios Bokeh

Pictures from Latin American market shot with Pentax Spotmatic II + Helios 44-2 and Lomography CN 100. I flipped the front lens element of the Helios to try the bokeh. :) Really interesting results, what do you think?

Really cool effect. What do you mean exactly "flipped front lens element" - like actually taking lens apart?

@iblissss Yes, exactly! But just the first front glass. You screw the black ring which holds the first element away and then just flip the glass and put it back upside down. Super easy and quick. :-)

It is amazing, what a result! That is a tipster material @smolda :)

@iblissss I could make a tipster about it. :-) But I'm certainly not the first one to discover this, I found it online too. ;-)

@smolda not the one to discover, but maybe the first one to describe the process on this website. Go on :)

@iblissss That may be truth :-) I will write it down if I have some time. ;-)

@argentic-translation Sure, go ahead! :-) Just be careful, the flipped first glass might touch the second glass underneath. Beware of damage or scratching the lens. ;-)
