Dmitrov: Under the hand of Ilyich (Lenin)

Monument to V.I. Lenin was installed in 1950 in the lively center of Dmitrov, on Sovetskaya Square. Sculpture of V.I.Lenin in Dmitrov became one of the many analogues of the monument of the sculptor N. V. Tomsky, which was originally installed at the entrance to St. Petersburg. Similar monuments can be seen in many Russian cities.

The bronze sculpture of the leader stands on a granite pedestal, around which is a well-groomed flower bed, and on both sides of the square are planted with firs.
