Many of my images aren't worth keeping, and in some cases the film isn't exposed properly, but rather than chuck the negatives in the bin I've played around with them. I don't pretend they're all exciting or original or even pleasing to the eye, but here they are anyway, in their various states of degradation.

Ah! My secret :) No, I used a Q tip in some diluted bleach and sort of poked and prodded the negative before cleaning it off under the tap (I've discovered that negatives are actually pretty darned tough!). Not a very rigorous or artistic technique I'm afraid .....but fun. I'm going to try for more control and deliberation so that I can repeat if a technique or material gives promising results. If I can curb my impatience .....

a seriously belated thank you so much @sandersoftheriver ! recently I gave break fluid and some more different chemicals a chance -with Q tip as well and cleaning under the tap! :D
I liked and like that improvised filmsoup-style as it faster in showing results and impatient characters don't need to wait for ages ;)
