What is going on?

I love the Belair, truly, but whenever I get photo's back or I develop them myself there is always something wrong with the final outcome. This lot was weird, I developed it with another roll in the same tank which turned out fine. This one has weird chemical looking streaks in it. Happy accidents are always welcomed but I can't wait to get a roll back from the Belair that is perfectly in focus, and looks awesomely normal.

Was this the upper roll in the tank? I had similar issues once with one roll turning out fine and the next had uneven development. I believe it was due to not enough developer in the tank to cover both films. I took the tank and measured (with water) how much liquid reallay needs to go in there instead of just guessing, and it worked fine the next time.
Not saying that this is the problem here but it might be worthwhile checking it.

Plus, what is your agitation? I have the feeling that with two films in the tank you really need to turn the tank upside down (reasonably slow of course) instead of just moving it a little to make sure the developer gets refreshed evenly

This makes a lot of sense! It was the upper role in the tank. the only thing that is stopping me from totally accepting this as the problem was there was more than enough developer in the tank, in fact it was over full so I couldn't agitate it as thorough as I do most of my film. The only chemical that I think was not covering both tanks was the stop bath, yet I feel like I agitated it enough that it coated both films evenly. I did think that the problem was with the chemicals though, thanks so much for your suggestion @carsten-schmitt!

Hm, makes sense. Well, I have never used developer that required a special stop bath. I use plain water with what i believe called the Ilford method. Fill the tank, agitate 4 times, swap water, agitate 8 times, change water, 16 times, 24 times, I let water flow in until it spills over to make sure. Who knows, maybe that'll do the trick?
Ah, but film is a fickle beast and developing it seems to be more of an art than a science.

All very true. I will defiantly try that out next time I develop a roll from my belair. Thank you for everything! @carsten-schmitt
