Washi Z in Changi Airport ~ Self developed using Ilfotec. I had a VERY long transit in Changi recently, it wasn't actually the longest airport visit I've had; Narita over 34hours is the current record holder. I spent most of the time sleeping on the floor but I also had learnt from my previous travels so months before arriving I booked the hotel pool. You know you can book just the pool access without staying in one of the rooms? It was a cheap ~treat yo' self~ kind of thing because I figured that it cost less than half the price BUT the pool help relieve a lot of hip pain and I was allowed to use the showers so I didn't feel groggy for the connecting flight. Then I just slept on the floor of the transit lounge, hugging my bag and facing a wall so I didn't have to worry about the small chance of anything getting nicked. There is only so much napping that can be done though, so to fill in extra time I went to the pub and had hot chips and a cocktail ~ missing Australia but also trying to be a bit fancy~ Also visiting Changi's butterfly garden and sunflower garden. The trip to the sunflower garden was also a mission to see if I could dry my swimsuit/bathers a little bit more. While I was there, taking photos of course, I heard a voice behind me say "Excuse me, do they still sell film?" and I explained that yeah actually I'm an art student and I've just come back from Japan so my bags are full of film. We continued talking and I found out that he also used to own the Pentax K1000 and seeing it again + hearing the shutter was bringing up some nostalgia for him. There is something very distinct about the shutter on this camera and he recognised it first by the sound before he'd even seen it. Turns out, he was also from Australia and was happy to learn that there are people still shooting film.
