REAL NAME: THEO VOLPATTI
CITY: BROOKLYN
COUNTRY: U.S.A.

How long have you been a Lomographer?
This is the first time and there will be many more to come.

The strangest, funniest, hands-down greatest photographic/Lomographic encounter that you have ever had.
Lomo camera is unpredictable and faithful to the owner. I took a taxi ride with the camera on the roof. I got out of the car freaking out, where is it? Where is it? I have lost it…but no!! was still there.

If your photos shown here could have a soundtrack of three songs, what would they be? (song title & artist please)
It s five o clock (Afrodite’s child)
Tibet (Franco Battiato)
White Man Sleeps (Kevin Volans)

If you could take your LC-A+ and a sack of film anywhere in the world right now, where would you go and why?
I would probably go on the Himalayan mountains.I was there ones and I really felt the power and the beauty of the nature, and I wish everybody could feel the same to understand how precious is the world and the environment.

The one person (living or deceased) who you would most like to photograph?
Nobody famous I’m not a big fan of celeb. portraits but I would probably like to be on a journey with B.Chatwin.

What is your best advice to future LC-A+ shooters?
Just go with the flow be free and intuitive.

45 days on a motorcycle from India to Italy, you probably saw some incredible things. What are some things that really stood out? What will you never forget? And what would you avoid if you did this again?
I ll never forget the famous KKH (karakorum highway)in Pakistan. Is a part of the ancient Silk Road and is the highest paved road in the world.
The Karakum desert in Turkmenistan at night under millions of bright stars.
The style of the Uygur women in the Xinjiang region ( China ).
I would avoid the ignorance and the arrogance of blind people……..

Did having the LC-A+ on your trip affect your experience in any way?
It’ s lightweight and it affect my trip in term of comfort (during the journey)
After the journey the surprise of amazing pictures full of life and colors….

They say you can never go home again, because after a trip, you change in ways that make home a different place when you return. How has this journey changed you? What have you learned? Please share some of the wisdom you acquired on your journey.
Each journey make you grow a little bit , so my eyes and heart are more open.

Now that you’ve had this incredible life experience, what’s next? Where will you travel to in the future?
I’m working on a journalistic project here in U.S.A. and for the future I’m planning a journey in Tibet.

Light paths is travel diary photographed and created during a journey from India to Italy thanks to the humanitarian project Settemilamiglialontano. Take a look at the completed diary:
