Constant

Behind every photo, there is a story. Here's the story for this one. I have never used a film camera before the day I took this photo. The guy in the photo is one of my closest friends and we have been friends for years. He saw me through my ups and downs, he celebrated with me when I am in the upper part of my life and he took care of me during my down days. He is also the one who influenced me to use an analog camera. He has been playing with it for months now and because of that, I became interested in this kind of photography. And here we are. The thing is, a photo can be beautiful and visually pleasing but if there really is no context or story behind it, it's somehow lackluster. This is one of the most important photographs I have ever taken. Sure, it is not that breathtaking nor eye-catching but the thing with photography is, it is there for you to freeze the moment, stop the world, and treasure it forever. Here I am, freezing, and treasuring the moment that I shared with this guy who introduced me to film photography and who also introduced me to the fact that there are still people out there who will always have your back through ups and downs, people who will be your constant.

Historias Humanas: Come From Away x Lomography: Detener el Mundo
