Kate Kennedy procession

Kate Kennedy Club stages a pageant each year celebrating the great characters and events from Scotland’s history and the University of St Andrews. Except Kate Kennedy and Bishop Kennedy in a horse carriage, many other characters marche the streets of St Andrews in fancy dress with set pieces of drama. In the old days, it used to be a riotous event which local worthies repeatedly tried to ban; nowadays it's one of the biggest Town and Gown events with many locals participating in the procession.
