Zabakuck - The church without a roof over its head

No.28 of a hundred village churches to come... During World War II, the church was severely damaged by shelling and fighting. Only in the early 1950s were temporary repairs undertaken, but they could not halt the building's deterioration. At Pentecost 1973, a third of the church roof collapsed due to the progressive decay and in June 1980 another third collapsed.
