Infinitely superior to digital. Funny I remember it as always being an expensive hobby, I could never afford to shoot the stuff like I do now but I was young and always skint so maybe that's the reason.
@charliedontsurf Quite right, digital can't even get close to the look of film. I remember Ektachrome being pretty affordable, it must have been because I used a lot of it. I developed it myself so that it worked out cheaper than Kodachrome. I started using Fujichrome a bit later because the processing was included. It was much more vibrant than Ektachrome.
