Over the Summer I decided to try yoga. Through it people in my class said to have found many things; better sleeping pattern, good feeling of health, or ease the movements on their joints. But of all the testimonies, one resonated with me the most: to find inner balance. Through forming a supportive relationship with our body, and through learning how to listen to the subtle hums of our mind, perhaps, we'd be able to get a glimpse of it.

It was a fun trip down from North Sweden to Båstnäs at the Norwegian border. We not only passed the most swedish landscapes imaginable but also a fantastic sunset at a river. We made a stop and tried to capture it. In Båstnäs I tried to capture the scrapmetalscope of the scene...
Van Dyke prints of nudes, done some years ago. I think the printing method is perfect for this subject, as it shows a more painterly and abstract effect. I don't want the viewer distracted by the person, I want them to be immersed in the structure of the body and how it occupies space. Given that, I opted to use extremely high contrast neagtives and dramatic lighting in my final prints..
