Peachy Guesthouse
One summer when I was living in Burma, I had two unpaid months during the school's summer holiday. I definitely would not have been able to get by in Burma on my available funds, so I came to Thailand where everything was cheaper. I found Peachy Guesthouse which cost only 120 Baht per night (about 4 USD), which was a godsend for me as I had been robbed of about 400 USD at the very start of my summer at the first guesthouse I had stayed at (don't ever stay at Baan Sabai on Rambuttri is you ever come to Thailand is all I can say). Still, even though Peachy was cheap, given how my funds were limited and how the dishonest staff at Baan Sabai had further depleted my limited funds, I couldn't afford to do much aside from sit in my room and wait for the summer to end. It was on one afternoon when I was laying around in my room waiting for the summer to end that I was struck by how neat the shadows and light were on my curtains on that particular day, which is how this photo came about.
