Soccer in Harlem

Each of these photos represents a part of my life. I used to play soccer from when I was 4 years to when I was 18 years old. I stopped after going to college. For a while it did t phase me I didn’t play anymore but as of recently I really miss it. Most afternoons when walking home from the train stop I see these kids playing soccer after school. They remind me of how passionate I was and how I want to get back into soccer. I stop and admire them all the time. For the picture with the Caddis fly, I learned to act silly and stop acting so serious sometimes. For the photo with the cars, it shows my thoughts on driving and how I take each day at a time when it comes to driving. I never used to stress about driving but after moving to NYC, it stresses me out sometimes. So each time I drive, I go out with a positive mentality. For the boy looking out of the building, I learned to look around. I am so focused from getting to point A to point B that sometimes I don’t give myself the opportunity to live life. The last photo was exploring the hamptons. I learned to keep pursuing my love for the outdoors and nature and keep documenting what matters to me.

I grew up in Yakima, Wa but this soccer photo was taken where I currently live: New York, New York in the Harlem area.
