Treasure island is a former military bas in the middle of SF bay. It was decommissioned in the 90's and has been slowly getting changed over to civilian use. There's some housing, and amenities now and a monthly flea market and incredible views of the city. This was my first visit after having driven past the island for years on the bay bridge.
