It's a great city, part grit, part Golden State glam; ladies and gentlemen, let me introduce you to Stockton California. This port city hosts about 500k people and serves as a city of industry between the Sierras, the rich farmland of the Central Valley, and the commerce, technocracy of the Bay Area. This is just a short drive from where I live, and is quoted to be the most dangerous city on America's West Coast. The whole city is chock with character and stuff to shoot, especially in the downtown section. Though the crime is high, the people are generally nice and will take time out of their day to talk to you. But ask any homeless guy or tweaker along the way; "These streets is rough!"

Tough streets. Wherever you have a port, you have travel and the presumed anonymity that goes with impending departure. The full range of humanity available to be found. Saint and sinner. Mothers to monsters. Thanks for the intro to Stockton!

@fartstorm Real tough streets. Interesting that you mention the movement of people when human trafficking is so rampant in these areas. Stockton is no exception, despite how inland it is.
