Withering Flowers

For most of my photographic life I haven't shot too many still lives. When I first laid my hands on a large format camera though, I figured to start with something I could control and take my time with. These flowers my girlfriend got looked beautiful, even when they were starting to wither away. So, instead of throwing them away, I borrowed them for a last ride and took pictures of them and their vase. Here's a detail shot I am rather fond of. Developed and scanned by me.
